A series of activities titled “Pho – An Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Flow of the Creative Industry” took place in Hanoi on October 11–12.
The event was organized by Kinh tế & Đô thị Newspaper in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Việt Hưng Ward, the UNESCO Center for Vietnamese Culinary Culture, and Tasco Mall.

This initiative aims to strengthen the management, preservation, and promotion of the intangible cultural heritage value of pho, following its recognition as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Highlights of the program included a talk show themed “Pho – The Story of Intangible Cultural Heritage in the Flow of the Creative Industry”; an exhibition showcasing pho’s traditional spices; displays about the history and cultural practices of Hanoi pho; traditional art performances; and a sketch exhibition dedicated to this iconic heritage.
In 2025, Acecook became the official partner of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports in a long-term mission to elevate pho toward global recognition as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity—a step reaffirming Vietnam’s cultural identity on the international stage.
At the event, leading experts in culinary arts and creative industries discussed various approaches to identifying, preserving, and creatively developing Hanoi pho as a source of inspiration for cross-sector innovation.
As part of the program, organizers also presented awards for the “Short Video Contest Introducing Hanoi Pho,” which encouraged university students to share their perspectives on the beloved dish and its cultural legacy.
